Today is the day that our little (BIG) man turns THREE! This milestone has been a week long celebration.
It started on Sunday with Ava, Madison & Kinion, cousins Conor & Aschton, Aunt Kathy, Bubba, and Ms Regina at My Gym & JumpE Place. It was 1 1/2 hours of running, jumping, sliding, and cake! Owen was so appreciative of his gifts which consisted of dinosaurs (figures and a talking baby t-rex), batman and his batmobile, monster trucks, games, activities, etc. After Owen's party, the four of us + Uncle "P" (aka cousin Chris) went to eat pizza for lunch. After eating, Owen has his first experience with a racing car game with Uncle P's assistance. Then it was home to bed and two kids that took very long naps. Owen woke to one last gift on this special day (special day before his actual special day)... who was it from? Poppy & Grammie sent Owen the one present he specially asked for. He called them about a week ago and was very specific with his request. Owen saw the bag, dug down deep and out came his very own TACKLE BOX! His eyes lit up, his smile widen, and his words "this is the BEST day". My heart melts every time I recall those five words and the tone and excitement in his voice. It was his own tackle box filled with worms and other fishing items. Along with the tackle box was his very own big boy fishing pole (and I mean big)!
Celebration #2 was on Tuesday at Preschool. To help Owen's class celebrate his big day, we brought in chocolate chip cookies.... Owen loves them!
Celebration #3 was on November 18th - OWEN'S BIRTHDAY! Born at 6:41am, we were definitely up at this time. I figured it would be a bit confusing to explain the "being born" process so we stuck to the very basics. We made this a very special day with lots of attention and extra treats :) Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Lora, and baby Emerson stopped by to help us celebrate his actual birthday. So what does the birthday boy who is turning three receive on his actual birthday? A TRAIN TABLE of course!
