Quick foot prick to draw blood, this is to test for low iron. Now the fever, what are we going to do about the fever? Short version - let's do an xray and check her chest... all is clear. Let's check her urine for a bladder infection... all is clear. We know it is something, the blood count showed her body is trying to fight something (clearly, the fever tells us that as well). Shot of antibiotic later and the fever dropped... we are heading home. Camden was so tired. The typical routine visit turned in to a 2 1/2 hour visit and was far from pleasant for our little princess. Fever is up and down all afternoon, but she is eating great and certainly sleeping great. In bed at 6pm... back to the Dr tomorrow to check ears, throat, chest again. Camden sleeping on daddy's lap (picture above) is a clear indication she does not feel well.
Owen is fantastic, his vocabulary is amazing and it's always something new. He sings songs, counts, and is learning his colors. He too is still a little sick. This family is ready for warm weather!
Owenese
- "yummy yummy in tummy"
- "ma, be right back"... no Owen say here. "no ma, be right back" (he's heading upstairs to wake up daddy)... no Owen. "ma, I SAID be right back" as he pushes his hand towards me.
- "Come awnnnn (on)" and along with a stomp or a shove of the dog.
- "Wear'd go?" as he throws his arms up in the air and shrugs his shoulders.

- "No WAY"... in a you can't be serious type of tone.
- "How bout that" in a silly high pitch voice.

- "Put Cammie down...." when he wants our attention or needs our help with something.
- "Now" or "Right NOW" when he wants us to do something for him, he so kindly tells us he wants it done now.
