Camden turns ONE!

May 16th at 7:49pm, Camden officially turned ONE! We are so very grateful to have her in our lives, she is truly a blessing. This past year has been a journey! Camden is completely walking, stands from a sitting position without holding on to anything. I would say we are very close to a run but she is confident in all of her steps. She is pro at climbing on anything she can get her leg over. She is drinking whole milk (no more formula), she loves everyone's sipping cup but her own, but she is drinking from cups (no more bottles), she loves to eat anything especially if she is feeding herself (no more baby food), and she uses a spoon great and practically insist on holding/using one. She is always smiling and is a daddy's girl, her face lights up when daddy walks in the room even if he leaves for a second. She is getting tougher by the day, necessary in order for her to keep up with (or put up with Owen).

She is our little princess who just turned one! We had a house full of family and friends to help us celebrate Camden's big day. The best surprise was Saturday morning when Aunt Kathy came over in the morning with a special guest... Aunt Kimmie flew in from Pittsburgh to see Camden. Seeing Kim was a great moment, a huge surprise and welcoming tears (thank you Marc & Kim)... you can't imagine what that meant to us!

Camden spent the afternoon playing with Conor & Aschton and a handful of friends. Camden loved her cupcake and did not hesitate to get messy, shoving it quickly in her mouth.

Owen was very well behaved, considering it wasn't his party, his gifts, or his cupcakes... he did very well. We have mastered the toilet (about 98% of the time, which leaves 2% for error). Kids and adults everywhere, I am sitting on the floor opening presents with Camden (who by the way is no where near me, so I'm opening her presents for her) and Owen is very occupied at the counter, sitting patiently in the stool playing with a cell phone (of course). Then it happens... he starts crying. "Mommy"... lips quiver. "Mommmeeee"... tears running down his cheeks. Everyone stops and focuses on Owen, the last thing I'm sure he wanted to happen. He peed his pants. Really? Right now? He hasn't peed his pants (at our house) in I don't even remember when. Party stops... Erik takes him to the bathroom leaving a nice trail along the way. I run and get new clothes. We wash him down, changes his clothes, and he very quickly bounces back. It wasn't a show stopper but it was a moment worth mentioning. Thank you to the guest that cleaned up our child's pee off our our stool and floor... you know who you are!

Happy birthday baby girl... we love you!
