It started with dinner on Friday night at Hooka Lounge - dinner was interesting to say the least. Our table of 12 was the only table in the restaurant and we were there for 2 hours. Our waitress was extremely comfortable with us - she displayed this through her honestly.
Few examples -
(Waitress) "we are out of lettuce and so your salads are taking a little longer"
(Lora) "why don't you just use this lettuce" as she points to lettuce on our appetizer plates"
(Waitress) "oh yeah, that's a good idea" and a few minutes later she returns "we are out of the dressing for the salad, so someone ran out to buy some."
We are waiting and waiting, laughing and having fun of course... dinner finally comes, including Rich/Kathy's big sushi order.
(Rich) "now, which sushi is which"
(Waitress) "hmmmm. Ummmmm." and she points "ummm, let me check with the kitchen"
Waitress then returns and basically has no idea and told us "well, the dishwashers are Mexican, cooks are Chinese, I'm white, and then you have the Israelian Jew that runs this place.... so it's too many languages for things to go right."
Let's just say, we did enjoy dinner and spending time together - went to condo, to bed, and up at 6am to start the celebration.
Annie graduated at 8:30am - the weather was foggy but the temperature was perfect. As we met after graduation before heading to the Marriott Grand Dunes the clouds parted and sun shine. God delivered a beautiful day with perfect temperatures. We enjoyed appetizers, lunch, and cocktails at a cabana by the pool. We relaxed and laughed. This awesome afternoon was followed by dinner at Greg Norman's Australian Grill (the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach).
Sunday - May 8th - Mother's Day (and cousin Dustin's birthday!). Everyone joined us at the condo for a Mother's Day breakfast (purchased by Marc and cooked by Jeremy). We enjoyed the morning and then heading back to Charlotte. Erik went to pick up the kids as I spent a few quiet hours at home.
What a perfect weekend! Congratulations Aunt Annalise - we are so very proud of you!
